JOB SUMMARY In this position, you will play a key role in monitoring clinical and community studies to ensure compliance with procedures and protocols. You will work under the supervision of principal investigator who leads research projects. You are responsible for assisting him in a number of tasks that support the research activities. The research assistant is responsible for meticulous data management for multiple ongoing research studies, including: database development and maintenance, initiating processes for regular database updates and quality control functions, data abstraction, interpretation and organization. RESEARCH ASSISTANT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct literature reviews Maintain accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary Supervise undergraduate students working on the research project Summarize project results Prepare progress reports Prepare other articles, reports and presentations Write and contribute to publications Develop research protocols Contribute to the design of protocols, which includes the methodology, analysis, quality control and reporting sections for both quantitative and qualitative data. Develop assessment and evaluation tools Create presentation slides and posters to help researchers present findings Conduct data quality assessment in the study databases, generate listing of errors or incoherence, send data queries to study sites and supervise the data correction process Oversee and coordinate the process from data capture to data sharing Perform statistical analyses using appropriate statistical tools for planned data presentations and communications related to a given study Liaise with study coordinator to follow-up data errors, …
