TRAFFIC’s head office, based in Cambridge UK, provides worldwide leadership, coordination, cross-regional and corporate functions. TRAFFIC’s local engagement is managed through programme offices operating under the auspices of the UK charity, with staff based in a hub office and at other strategic locations where necessary. Programme offices operate within a geographic area of responsibility focused on one or multiple countries where TRAFFIC aims to help deliver priority programme outcomes. TRAFFIC works in strategic alliance with IUCN and WWF on wildlife trade issues. CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES Reporting directly to the Finance Officer, the Driver-Mechanic's main duties are to: Drive project and company vehicles; Ensure that the a dministrative documents of the vehicles are well kept and up to date; Filling in logbooks (movement, fuel consumption and maintenance); Carry out routine vehicle maintenance and servicing; Ensure that major repairs are carried out by a professional and follow up on them; Apply administrative procedures governing the use of vehicles. SPECIFIC DUTIES Driving Carries out the timetable drawn up for him by the supervisor; Ensures that all vehicle papers are in order and checks the general condition of the vehicle, including accessories, wheels, braking system and levels; Is responsible for driving the vehicle under his responsibility; Is responsible for the safety of the vehicle and must be mindful of its equipment, …
